CHARMIAN TUNNEY

FOUNDING PARTNER

Charmian D. Tunney specializes in tax law and estate planning.  Ms. Tunney's experience includes representation of individuals in connection with their family wealth and succession planning, including advice regarding gift and estate tax matters.  She brings to the planning process a sensitivity to the personal and family issues involved. In addition, Ms. Tunney assists clients with various transactional planning matters.  Her experience includes representation of corporations, individuals, and estates before the Internal Revenue Service, Franchise Tax Board and the United States Tax Court.    She has also represented a variety of clients in corporate matters such as formation, agreement negotiation, and drafting of all types.  Her skills as a clear communicator help make complicated planning concepts and tax strategies understandable to her clients.  

Prior to forming her own firm, Ms. Tunney practiced as an associate in the corporate and tax department at Berliner Cohen, LLP. She also formerly served as a tax consultant for Arthur Andersen, LLP.

Ms. Tunney is married and has three children, two who attended St. Ignatius College Preparatory in San Francisco.
